In case you are wondering about freezing the cheese the following can be found on the package of Kraft Natural Shredded Cheese.

"Keep refrigerated. For best quality, use or freeze by date on front. Once opened, use within 5 days. May be frozen for up to 2 months before opening. Refreezing not recommended."
