Last night I ran out to Target and Hen House to scoop up some deals for the 4th! At Target I got the 10 for $1 sweet corn, 3 of the $.50 Eggos, a free Glade Wisp Flameless Candle and 2 of the $.04 Degree Body Mists. I was hoping to get some ribs to go with the corn but they were out including the ones they were substituting. I went to get a raincheck after checking out but was told they don't give rainchecks on grocery items but they would be getting more ribs tonight so I will check back in the morning. We (I had two of the kids with me) headed off to Hen House to finish up our shopping.

We scored big at Hen House but it came with a price, probably the most I've paid at the grocery store in a single trip in a long while. I paid $31.74 and my total before coupons including tax was $130. So not too shabby. When I got home to review my receipt I noticed an error on the California Kitchen Pizzas where I only received 1 of the 2 I purchased at the sale price of 2 for $10. I will have to return with my receipt to get this fixed but that's no biggie cause I wanted to get some McCormick Marinades before the sale ended.

For those of you in the KC area listen up cause I did find a few good deals that I have to share! One being using the $6 printable coupon to save on the other white meat when you buy Kingsford Charcoal and one other qualifying product. The way this plays out this week is pretty good in my opinion.

Buy 2 Kingsford Charcoals on sale for $5.99 each and get 2 KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauces for free with your Hen House card. KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce is one of the qualify products on the $6 coupon so you are set to purchase the meat now. I however tossed 2 KC Masterpiece Marinades on sale for $1.97 into the mix and used the $2 off sauce or marinade when you buy Kingsford Charcoal coupon from the 6/21 RP. If you don't want the marinade you could use two Free KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce coupons from the 5/10 RP and earn $1.58 in overage to apply towards your total. Then head over to the meat department and find the pork products that are Buy One Get One Free this week. This would be the Farmland Marinated products ranging in price from $7.49 to $8.99. You can choose between pork chops, pork loin and pork tenderloin. I selected the pork tenderloin which is $7.49. You now have the $12 minimum pork purchase required to use the $6 coupon. Your total cost is basically the cost of the meat less any overage received from the KC Masterpiece and $.02 extra from the charcoal. Not a bad deal by any means when a bag of charcoal is normally $7.49 to $9.00 when it is not on sale.

Another deal I spotted was the buying 10 packets of Kool-Aid and getting free sugar using the $2 coupon from the 6/21 SS. Kool-aid and C&H Sugar products are both on sale this week so you can get both cheap, especially if you happen to have the buy 10 get 2 free kool-aid tearpad! Not only can you get sugar for next to nothing you can pick between powdered, brown and cane sugar. C&H Brown and Powdered Sugar are on sale 2/$3, the 4lb bag of C&H Cane Sugar is $1.89 and Kool-aid packets are $.07. This means the $1.50 varities of sugar would cost $.06 when using the B10G2 Free Kool-aid coupon as it will automatically double. The cane sugar will run you $.45 when you use the above mentioned coupons.

An unadvertised deal I spotted is French's Worchestershire Sauce on sale for $1.29. Use the $.50/1 coupon from the 5/10 SS and score a bottle for just $.29!

Finally I found some hot coupons awhile back to save $3 when you buy 2 Keebler Cones, Cups or Bowls and ice cream. Keebler products are on sale for $1.99 this week as well as Breyers ice cream. What you may not know is that Hen House automatically gives you a $1.50 discount on ice cream when you buy two cones, cups or bowls. So I bought 6 packages of Keebler and 3 Breyers ice cream and was able to use (3) of the $3 coupons and (3) $1 Breyers coupons from the 5/17 SS. So after coupons and the Hen House Keebler/Ice Cream discount 2 Keeblers and 1 Breyers cost me $.47! Now I know that many of you may not have the $3.00 coupon but don't worry I spotted Keebler boxes with peelies for $1 off 1 wyb ice cream and and a tearpad on the Keebler display for $1.25 of 2 when you buy ice cream. So you can score 2 cones, cups or bowls and some Breyers for as low as $1.47.
